Eligibility
This mechaton is only opened to students currently enrolled at DAUST.
Participants must provide proof of enrollment (e.g student ID or university email address).
Beginner level:
- Being an IEP or Freshman 1 student
- Transfer student are not eligible in this category
Intermediate level:
- Being an Freshman II or Sophomore 1 student
Senior level:
- Being a sophomore II student or upper
Project and Submission Requirements
Project requirements:
Beginner level:
- Should be able to store the rackets (two at least) and the balls (one at least).
- Easy to use and install on the ping pong table
- Should be 3D printable.
- Must apply Appearance
- No imported file (for any source like grabcab) are allowed
Intermediate level:
- It should be able to charge phones computer (or any electronic devices) in general either by plug or/with wireless charging...,by having power sources (rechargeable battery, plugged to socket, solar…)
- Minimal size 4x2x2 ft
- Maximum size 6x3x3 ft
- Must apply Appearance and Assemblies (link motion & joints)
- No imported file (for any source like grabcab) are allowed
Senior level:
- It should be able to hold different tool
- Have at least 4 sections
- Minimal size 28x18x36 inches
- Maximum size 50x30x50 inches
- Have camera or sensor slot to check the different tool
- Only sensor are allowed to be imported
- Have a system to check user identity
- Must apply Appearance and Assemblies (link motion & joints)
Submission requirements
- The CAD file must be in f3d/f3z format if you are using Fusion 360 or sldasm for SOLIDWORKS
- Sumbit a PowerPoint presentation explaining the different parts and functionnalities of your design.
